The Department of Experimental Medicine and Surgery was created in 2012, following the reconstruction and fusion of all the Departments inside the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
It’s one of the four Departments of the Faculty of Medicine together with the Department of Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine, the Department of System Medicine, the Department of Biomedicine and Prevention.
It’s composed of 118 faculty members of which 20 are full professors, 26 assistant professors and 72 researchers. They are assisted by 52 between technician and administrative officers.
