BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr. Beniamino Iorio in 1981 he received a degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of L’Aquila with 110/110 cum laude and has specialized in urology with honors at the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1986. Since January 1987 he has served as a researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Department of Surgery with the title of assistant to full-time University Division of General Surgery and Transplantation Organ of the S. Eugenio in Rome. In 1988 he was authorized by the Ministry of Health activities taking Organs and Transplantation of Liver, Pancreas and Kidney, taking part in all the activities of surgical care and research program of Kidney Transplantation. In this context has deepened particularly the study of “bench surgery” of the kidney transplant, and the problems of immunosuppressive therapy and urological complications of renal transplantation; has performed more than 200 kidney transplants. In 2006 acquires favorable opinion of the CUN for changing the scientific sector by Med Med 18 to 24. In 2007 he became Adjunct Professor in the Department of Surgery, scientific Med 24. From 2006 he worked at the U.O. of Urology and Andrology dealing mainly with the study of tumors of the urinary tract

Beniamino Iorio
Born in L’Aquila 29.06.1956
In January 1987, taking service as Assistant Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, part of the Department of Surgery and is structured to qualify as a full-time assistant at the University Division of General Surgery and Organ Transplant Hospital S . Eugenio in Rome. Authorized in 1988 by the Ministry of Public Health and the activities of the removal of organs, that kidney transplant, liver and pancreas. In October 1994, takes on the role of Head of the divisional Help “Urology for minimally invasive and endoscopic urology connected to Kidney Transplant” and he was appointed medical director of 1st level of service transplants ‘organ of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, at the Hospital of St. Eugenio in Rome, taking part, without interruption, to the activities of the surgical program kidney transplant. In this context, has acquired particular expertise in kidney surgery “bank” of the kidney transplant, has personally performed more than 200 kidney transplants from cadaveric donors mainly but also from living donors paying particular attention to the diagnosis and treatment of urological complications. In 2006 acquires favorable opinion of the CUN for changing the scientific sector by Med Med 18 to 24. In 2007 he became Adjunct Professor of the Department of Surgery, scientific-disciplinary sector Med 24.
